June 9th, “Sundays at Stetsons”

I remember once meeting Stetson Kennedy in Frank Thomas kitchen. I didn’t know who he was or what he had done I just thought he was I nice fella. It wasn’t until I had gotten home and looked up his name that I understood just who I was talking to. Many a truly wonderful songwriter and performer has performed in this concert series so I am deeply honored to have the chance to play my music and talk a bit in “Stetson’s Living Room”. August 26th “Sarasota Folk Club Concert Series”

The Sarasota Folk Club has been apart of my life for as long as I have been in the Sarasota/Venice area. As of lately the news is that they’re moving the venue of their monthly meetings to Fogartyville. If that place sounds familiar it’s because it is apart of our community radio station WSLR lpfm 96.5. This is a real shot in the arm for the folk club so this way we can keep up our reputation as having the longest running “Open Mic” in the state of Florida! Pretty cool!

Back to the concert series. The concerts are held at the clubs monthly meetings and for the month of August I will be the featured performer. Opening the show will be local fokie Joe Richter. Usually there’s an open mic but not this night. The show starts around 7pm with a “suggested” $10.00 donation.

For more information go to www.sarasotafolk.org or www.wslr.org or call 802-598-7184 or the WSLR office 941-954-8636

It is an honor to perform at this festival.
